Full dentures can be very difficult to get on with. You may find they are loose, speech and eating is difficult. You might also have a psychological problem with the loss of self-esteem and sense of aging that losing your teeth can give.
Implants can help this situation in a number of ways. In the simplest solution, we can improve the retention of loose lower dentures by placing two implants onto which your clips by way of small ball and socket joints.
The stability and retention of your lower denture can be further increased by placing more implants and a gold bar. You would need to have a new denture made which incorporates a precision attachment to clip onto the bar.
If you want to do away with your denture altogether, we can make a fixed bridge attached to implants. This does require a larger number of implants.
These various options are dependent upon the amount of bone you have still present. We can discuss all the options with you at our combined implant consultation clinic with Daniel Hopkins and Chris Sproat.
