Oliver Quinn
Oliver, also known as Olly, is a GDC-registered Specialist in Prosthodontics.
Prosthodontics is the field of dentistry concerned with the advanced rebuilding and replacement of damaged or missing teeth. His main areas of interest include fixed restorative dentistry, implant dentistry and oral surgery, and he has extensive experience in managing both straightforward and complex dental cases.
Oliver graduated from Guy’s, King’s and St Thomas’ Dental Institute, King’s College London. In 2005, he enrolled on a Diploma in Restorative Dental Practice at the UCL Eastman Dental Institute, a course focused on training dentists to provide high-quality, comprehensive restorative dental care. This experience inspired him to pursue further specialist training, and he subsequently completed a four-year Specialist Training Programme in Fixed and Removable Prosthodontics at the internationally renowned UCL Eastman Dental Institute.
As part of this training, Oliver completed a Master’s in Clinical Dentistry in Prosthodontics with Distinction and was also awarded Membership in Prosthodontics by the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh.
Oliver believes that patients should be treated with the same care, honesty and attention that he would want for his own family. His approach is centred on providing treatment that is necessary, appropriate and in the best interests of each patient’s dental and general wellbeing. This closely reflects the ethos of Half Moon Dental Practice.
He also feels strongly that patients should be fully informed about the different treatment options available to them, including what each option involves, so they can make confident decisions about the treatment that best suits their needs and circumstances.
Outside dentistry, Oliver has two young sons who keep him very busy. When he is not practising dentistry or spending time with his family, he is a keen rugby follower and enjoys watching Ireland and Leinster whenever he can.
